Reading Time: 3 minutesWondering how to embed your Instagram feed on your Showit website? It’s so easy, anyone can do it. Here is a step-by-step guide how!
Instagram is one of the best places to market a business. You can post product images from the platform, connect with your target audience, and strengthen your online presence. You can also feature your IG images on your Showit website to catch the eye and establish credibility.
If you haven’t already, you can post your IG content on your Showit website easily. and make the images look good on all screens. You'll need a third-party service to do this. Two of the most popular are SnapWidget and LightWidget. You can use any of these services, and we’ll guide you through the process. It’s pretty easy, here’s how:
SnapWidget is a free service that lets you create 2 Instagram widgets – one for desktop screens and another for mobile screens. The photos are linked to a SnapWidget page, not the Instagram post.
Step 1: Go to SnapWidget’s official website and create a free account.
Step 2: From the widget dashboard, choose “Instagram” at the tag at the top, select the style you like, then “Create a New Widget.”
Step 3: Add your IG username, then set the style of the widget, which you can check in the live preview window in the top left of the screen. Once you’re done, hit “Get Widget” in the bottom right of the screen.
Now you’re ready to copy-paste the embed code to your Showit website. Just log into your Showit account and add an embed box. Copy-paste the code snippet and hit save.
You can customize the widget for mobile screens. For example, you can set the thumbnail size to 160 on a 2×3 grid layout. Get the code and paste it on your Showit website. For the desktop view, create another embed code box, copy-paste the widget code, and size it for your mobile view before hitting save.
Lightwidget has a free version, although it doesn't work on Showit. The paid version has a one-time fee of $10. The widget will link the photos directly to Instagram. Although creating the widget is a little complex with Lightwidget, you'll only need one embed code for mobile and desktop screens.
Step 1: Go to LightWidget’s official website and set up an account. Choose the format that you’d like for the IG images.
Step 2: Once you’ve set your preferences, you can see your work on the preview page. Generate the embed code by hitting “get code.”
Because Showit has tight security, you can’t use the embed code just yet. You’d have to upgrade the widget by paying the one-time fee of $10 to make the widget work on a Showit website. Once that’s done, you can embed the code on your website. In my opinion, LightWidget is well worth the one time $10 fee. It's the best Instagram embed widget program I've come across.
If people can see that there are real people behind your business, they're more likely to trust your brand. Developing a relationship and building trust is critical in establishing a recognizable brand. Posting your IG feed on your Showit website is one way to do just that!
Adding an Instagram feed to a Showit website is so easy that even a newbie won’t have trouble doing it. Now that your IG feed is showing on your website, you can focus on building a gorgeous feed that will attract more people!
