Ragini Hildreth Coaching is one of the latest businesses to take advantage of our semi-custom website design service. Ragini is an education coach who specialises in assisting teachers in their career transitions. Tell me a bit about your business and what brought you to start it in the first place?

For the majority of my teaching career, I have had the opportunity to mentor newly qualified teachers and to support colleagues through leading teams. During this process, I discovered the value of coaching as a means to helping others to develop professionally.
And at two key periods of my life, I was struggling with balancing work and family responsibilities. I benefited from having skilled coaches help me to make significant decisions that improved my well-being. I am so passionate about the effectiveness of coaching to empower people in life that I trained as a life coach. So now, I am building my own coaching business to help others flourish personally and professionally.

 

What is one lesson that you wish you knew from the beginning?

I love interacting with people and disliked technology. Now, the majority of my coaching takes place over web and I have had to learn so many new skills and to keep up-to-date with new applications. So I wish I had started learning technology sooner. When it's your business and you are on your own, you need the support of automated systems to save time, as well as guidance from tech experts.

 

What was your “AH-HA” moment that made you take the plunge into this business?

I had reached a point when I didn't get the buzz from teaching that I used to. More and more, I was enjoying working with adults and I really enjoyed helping clients achieve their personal breakthroughs. Seeing their smiles and watching the change that came over them helped me to plunge into the business world. It is certainly not easy, and there are times when I think ‘why am I doing this?' But I just have the intuition that this is what I am meant to do at this point in my life.

 

Out of all the amazing designers out there, why did you decide to work with us?

When I was doing my coaching training, Gillian was recommended by someone on the course. So I started looking at her website and received emails from her. When I decided that I was going to upgrade my site, I was drawn to the creativity and unique look of the sites Gillian had created.

 

What was your favourite part of the design process?

Gillian.
She organised the week clearly; gave me all the information I needed when I asked and gave me time to do everything I needed to do. Seeing how the site came together over the week brought a smile to my face every day. Gillian wove images, colours and text together so creatively. Looking at it brought a smile to my face every day.
