It’s been a crazy three months as the world went into lockdown due to the global pandemic. Here in the UK, we are slowly easing out of lockdown with non-essential retail shops opening this week and the possibility of more places opening in the next few weeks.
It still feels like the world hasn’t returned to how it was before – It might never go back to “normal”. If you’re like me and still spending time at home all of the time then it still might feel like you want to continue to talk about lockdown in your messaging.
However, people are beginning to leave their homes and quite frankly are sick of posts about staying home and buying products for their long days at home
Corona Fatigue is a real thing and it is here which is why it’s time for you to switch.
I’ve been talking about the easing of lockdown in my businesses. Of course, still, talk about social distancing if that is happening and any changes or delays which your customers might have because of it.
But now is the time to start testing “normal” content. Positioning your products to be used in life after lockdown. We’ve seen a spike in one of our business as people get ready for returning to a bit of normality.
If you’re a business which has been thriving during lockdown, don’t fear. Not everyone is going back to normal and many people will still continue to shop small and online.
This is about adjusting your social media, blog and video content to adapt to the current mood.
One thing I know for sure is small business owners know how to adapt – You’ve done it so many times already in 2020 and there will continue to be times going forward when you will need to switch it up again!
