Before creating your e-store, you need to determine how you’ll present the content on your website pages. Ask yourself these:
Plan the overall structure and navigation of your eCommerce site. The design should be consistent with your existing website.
Before creating a Shopify lite profile, you need to prepare the following:
Once you’re done with the planning, you can go ahead with uploading the product photos and product descriptions. Be sure that the product descriptions and images are optimized with your primary keywords for better online visibility.
If you haven’t already, the next step is to sign up for a Shopify lite account. This is a paid service, it’s USD 9 a month or 6.79 pounds. The platform lets you sell products or add a buy button to existing websites. The service comes with view reports and gives sellers the ability to issue gift cards or split bills.
Once you’ve signed up for an account, you’ll need to set up your account with basic business information including your business address, if you have one, and tax and payment preferences. After setting up your account, you are ready to upload your products on Shopify lite.
Because you’re not using the Shopify storefront, you’ll just embed the Buy-Button Sales Channel code on your Showit site. This is how your Showit site and Shopify Lite get connected.
From the Shopify dashboard, go to “Sales Channels” and select “Buy-Button.” Click to add the buy button. Add the product photos and details before generating the buy button from the sales channel. Once that's done, it's just a matter of selecting which products to add a buy button to and then customizing the settings according to your preferences. Easy peasy!
Copy the code from Shopify and then paste it on an embed box in Showit. Check how the product page looks on the big and small screens then adjust when needed. If everything looks good, you can publish the product page and add another. You can add as many products as you like.
One last thing to make the user experience as fuss-free as possible, make the transition between your Showit site to your Shopify site seamless and straightforward. The process of integrating Showit and Shopify is so easy. We hope that this guide has provided some clarity on adding a shop to your Showit website through Shopify lite! Try it today and get started on growing your online business!
