Creating content doesn’t mean constantly creating new posts. What’s wonderful about the online world is you can take 1 good piece of content and share it in lots of different ways.
If you spent a long time creating something, say a blog post, you want to make the most of this and get it in front of lots of different people who could be your ideal customers.
Create your content
There are so many different touchpoints for people to find you that they can easily miss what you are posting. This is why it’s important to keep sharing your content.
When you have a new blog post, the first thing you want to do is share it on all the different social platforms you and your customers use. I would recommend sharing a link on Facebook, Twitter and Linked In as well as sharing an Instagram post and story to share. It’s also beneficial to create a graphic and share it to Pinterest.
So firstly, you’ve shared your content in 6 different ways to get it in front of people. You can also schedule some of these when you’re creating your blog post to save you time.
The next step is to take the content and use it in an email to your email list.
At a later date, you can use the main context of your blog post to write a condensed version on Instagram or Facebook. You can also take the points of the blog post and create a video or talk about it on Facebook Live.
It’s also a good idea to repurpose this blog post and reshare it on social media a month or so later (if it’s still relevant), you can keep doing this for years!
So that’s one blog post, used in multiple different ways across various different platforms at different times.
Never be afraid of repeating yourself, if it’s about a topic you want to be known for then you need to use content to share your expertise with your audience.
It’s unlikely people will see your content at every place on the internet and if they do then they are probably your superfans who love to see your content anyway!
Are you ready to create a great piece of content?
