It's here! The new blog design for SOCIÉTÉ is live and we are so happy with the clear, clean look it has.
In the last month, we have worked hard to find a modern but timeless design that puts the content in focus and here it is!
The latest project over at Gillian Sarah has been this massive overhaul of SOCIÉTÉ, the woman lifestyle magazine blog. It's been so much fun putting together a custom blog design that is both feminine and understated. SOCIÉTÉ provides all kinds of woman's lifestyle content. From wellness to career, to goal setting. It truly is an excellent place for inspiration and motivation and just general life advice.
The color scheme was inspired by the logo – a very simple black and white combination with hints of blush
You’ll notice a fresh, new look for the blog. It’s clean, simple and 100% mobile-friendly (finally). The color scheme was totally inspired by the logo – a very simple black and white combination with hints of blush. The goal is to have the focus be on the articles themselves. That’s what you guys are coming here for!
In addition to the redesign, I’ve also added some new features to make your life just a little bit easier:
- A dedicated shop page for Adobe Lightroom presets
- An archive page listing all blog posts in one place
The front page has a nice, clean and minimalist look, with a focus on the articles themselves.
After a lot of planning, development, and testing, we’re excited to roll out our new design today.
The main idea behind the new look is to be clean and minimalist, but with a focus on the articles themselves. We have kept the white background and black text that our readers know — but we’ve made it more streamlined. A blush color highlights things like links or buttons. We are also proud to say that there are no popups!
We have a dedicated shop page for Adobe Lightroom presets.
You can use Adobe Lightroom to edit your photos and make them look even more beautiful. Now, I know what you are thinking… Another program that you need to figure out how to use?! Don't worry though. They are here to help! While there are many other photo editing programs on the market that do similar things as Lightroom, I truly believe that it is the best option out there. It makes the entire editing process so simple! If you've ever worked with Photoshop before – or any other photo editing program – then using Lightroom will be a breeze for you. Check out their presets here.
