Neon Farmhouse, when I first heard that name I knew I had to do this. Sara contacted me on Instagram about building her brand new blog for her and I instantly fell in love with her adorable personality. She was so much fun and so sweet, I knew she would be a joy to work with. AND she wanted a blog called “Neon Farmhouse”, I mean what?! Now we all know I love farmhouse style, which is typically white, cream and neutrals. Here was this girl throwing neon into the mix. 100%, I'm all about it!

 

Together we built her a great blog design from our “Tippen” Showit blog template.

Tell me a bit about your business and what brought you to start it in the first place?

I started a website/blog called Neon Farmhouse. I wanted it to be a mix of a bunch of different things. Just like me. I wanted to showcase my love for farmhouse decor, cooking, fashion and share my struggles with PCOS and infertility like so many other women.
I have so many stories to share and I think it helps us heal to express our self and helps others heal by hearing first hand how someone was able to change. I wanted to help other women too.

 

What is one lesson that you wish you knew from the beginning?

To have fun with everything. We all are so serious and stress out about stuff and even when creating this site I was stressed about adding content and when will it be done and will be amazing and it turned out better than I could have hoped and I cant wait to just load it up with content and spread some joy.

 

What was your “AH-HA” moment that made you take the plunge into this business?

I have wanted to do this for so long, but before I didn't think I was interesting or had any valuable insight and I just realized there are so many people that I know that come to me for advice on home decor or fashion or recipes and I just realized that I like what I have to offer and I bet there are some people out there who would like it too. I started to believe in myself.

 

Out of all the amazing designers out there, why did you decide to work with us?

I heard one of the amazing ladies that I love to I follow on Instagram talk about her wonderful experience with Gillian and I just thought why not have a professional help me out in the beginning and really get started off right.

 

What was your favourite part of the design process?

The reveal. When Gillian sent me the first link to neonfarmhouse.com and I saw the beautiful colors and fonts and layout that she picked… it was everything that I wanted and it blew my mind.
