How To Build a Kajabi Membership Site

Want to step up from selling products and services to offering memberships for exclusive content? If you’re using Kajabi, building and marketing a membership site is so easy. Here’s a step by step guide how: 

Start by logging into your account. Go to the “Products” category on the left side of the screen. Then, select the “Membership” template, or if you’ve created a product before, hit + New Product button first. 

You’ll be presented with a pre-made template that contains Categories, Lessons, Appearance, etc., and from here, you can start customizing the membership program's information, including:

• Title
• Membership program description
• Thumbnail images

You'll get a preview of what the management program's layout looks like, and you can edit any of the design elements in real-time. Be sure that your membership program is consistent with your main site's visuals (colors, images, layout, etc.)for better branding. Hit the refresh button to see how the changes look like on the preview. You can also rename the membership site and choose a theme for the setup. When you're done, you can hit publish, and you're ready to accept members to your new program!

Apart from customizing the visuals of the site, you can edit the code to add specific features. We also suggest exporting your site for backup. From your dashboard, you can create announcements, manage comments, and view the progress of your new membership program. You can make a full copy of your membership site with the “Clone” feature as well as delete some parts or the entire program.

How to Create a Mentorship Program in Kajabi

Mastermind is one of Kajabi's newest features. It's a feature that allows Kajabi content creators to establish and nurture groups of like-minded people for advice and/or support towards a common goal as well as solve specific problems as a collective. Mastermind is similar to a successful team or advisory group, and it is often used to provide peer-to-peer mentorship. 

Although similar to group coaching or networking group, Mastermind is more than that. Members can provide feedback and brainstorm solutions to support other members; there is no “leader” that solves all of the group's issues.

Unlike a networking group where members exchange referrals, a Kajabi mastermind group is all about working towards the same agenda. Essentially, a mastermind group benefits all by leveraging the experience and knowledge of all members, not just one. 

A mastermind group can be offered in person or online. To start a Mastermind group, pick your topic. It's best to choose a topic that you are passionate about and have expertise in to share your experiences and knowledge with the rest of the group. This is a great way to establish yourself as an authoritative leader in the field. While choosing a topic for the mastermind group, also consider the following:
