Reading Time: 6 minutesWant to see massive growth in your blog in 2019? Listen up.
From the outside, blogging is glamorous.
We see pictures of people working by the pool, taking long vacations and sipping cocktails on some of the most beautiful beaches.
But the cold hard truth is, if you really want to see growth in your blog, you have to be working at it daily.
Especially in the beginning. (meaning the first year)
Bloggers wear many hats.
We are the CEO, copywriter, editor, and employee of our blog.
This makes delegating tasks difficult and usually end up in a crying fit and yelling at your boss.
Expect you are the boss.
Which means you need to get organized. And what better time to get organized than the start of the new year?
Today I'm breaking down the top 4 most essential tasks you should be doing daily to see massive growth in your blog in 2019.

Yes, this means writing daily.
Do you have to publish a post daily?
No.
But as a blogger, your job is to write…so you've got to learn to be better at it and more efficient.
And the only way you're going to get better at something is if you work on it every single day.
Most bloggers are not professional writers.
We just like to write and decided to start writing blogs.
Remember, the whole goal of blogging is to serve your audience in some way shape or form.
Whether that be through motivation, education or entertainment.
And the best way to find your voice is to practice.
If you want to learn how to write the perfect blog post every single time, check out this post with 8 blog post writing of the best hacks.
Writing daily will also help with efficiency and help you write more quickly.
I can pretty much guarantee you have other things to do during the day than just sit and write a blog post for a few hours.
The more quickly you can write, the more posts you can produce in a shorter period of time.
Which can help when batching your posts for days or weeks you know you'll be away from the computer and won't have the time to write out a full post.
Start by writing 200-500 words a day and a get a feel for how long that takes you. This will also help you write out blog posts in chunks instead of all at once, saving you time in the long run.
And of course, writing daily will improve your writing and give your blog posts a more authentic feel.
We live in a visual world and whether your blog is more visual or not (fashion blog vs. business blog) then you're going to need to be making graphics daily.
My favorite program for making graphics is Canva because it's free, easy to use and they have templates for every social media platform.
I'm going to talk about marketing in a bit but the most important area to make graphics for is Pinterest.
Because Pinterest is a visual search engine your graphics are extremely important.
Better graphics on Pinterest = more clickthroughs = more traffic for your blog = more income and a more engaged audience.
Pinterest is not a place to be funny or cute, you have to be literal. Even with your images.
If you're looking for a place for free images to use for Pinterest, the two I love and use all the time are Ivory Mix Free Stock Photos (500+ free photos and She Bold Stock (30 free photos).
They’ll know when they see your pin that it’s YOUR pin and they will be more likely to click on it and repin it because they are getting to know like and trust you!

No matter what social media platform you are using, make sure to be using high-quality graphics on it.
Make graphics daily to reduce time and so you don't have to sit and create graphics every single time you want to post something to social media.
This is a really big one.
You want to be showing up for your audience on a daily basis whether this is through social media posts or Pinterest.
This may sound like a ton of work but using schedulers like Tailwind for both Pinterest and Instagram, it's pretty easy to do without having to spend too much time on it.
Marketing daily will help you build up your blog traffic, build that know, like and trust factor with your audience and will show your audience that you are there for them every single day.
Remember, writing high-quality content is only half the battle.
You have to show people it's there for them to actually go to it and consume it.
I personally find Pinterest to be the best place for me to market my blog because I get the highest return on my investment. (which is just my time, Pinterest is free)
Pinterest works because it's a search engine, which means people are going to be searching for certain topics.
This works better than a social media platform because you're not fighting heavy algorithms.
And the life of a pin is a few months to years compared to a few days, hours or even minutes.
This means your pins can be found years down the road.
And continue to send you blog traffic over and over again for years to come.
But as with anything else, utilizing Pinterest takes strategy and if you want to learn how to create your own strategy and really boost your traffic and grow your blog with Pinterest, read this post.
Pick where to market your blog based on where your audience hangs out and simply start marketing every single day.
I talked about this more in depth in this post, but every body's blogging goals are going to be a slightly different and based on that, you can pick one big, hairy, scary goal that you want to accomplish in the next 90 days.
Once you pick that goal, create three small 15-30 minute tasks that will get you closer to that goal.
If your goal is to make $1,000 in the next 90 days, work on your content and creating the most value you can.
Join high paying affiliate programs and learn how to use affiliate marketing.
If your goal is to gain 1,000 more followers on Pinterest, learn how Pinterest works and how you can best benefit your audience on that platform.
The point is to take a big goal and break it down into little tasks to achieve it.
If you want to grow your blog in 2019, the best thing you can do is to work on it daily, give as much value as you can to your audience and enjoy the process.
