“I hit a gold mind finding Gillian to help me along this new journey of blogging!” – Bethany Sinks – Shiplapaddict
Confession time: I've been following Bethany on Instagram (@seasonsofmyhome) for a good few years, and I've been fangirling over her account. So when I met her in March at Alt Summit, I was already a bit starstruck. But when she said she wanted to work with me to design her new blog, I actually almost died. I was so excited to work with Bethany! Together we built her a blog that brings through so much personality, while also being really user friendly. I absolutely loved working on this custom Showit blog design for the new Shiplapaddict blog.

Tell me a bit about your business and what brought you to start it in the first place?
My business has just been mainly focused on my Instagram account and trying to grow it. But once I heard about Gillian and met her at Alt Summit my fears of starting a blog went away. I knew it was time for me to take the plunge and that I hit a gold mind finding Gillian to help me along this new journey of blogging!
What is one lesson that you wish you knew from the beginning?
I honestly can’t think of anything. Gillian has been so helpful and honest and kind. I have felt at ease through this whole process.
What was your “AH-HA” moment that made you take the plunge into this business?
I guess I already answered that in the first question haha!!! Meeting Gillian and talking to Jennifer Marshall (@alittledoseofjen) about blogging and how wonderful and easy it was to work with Gillian.
Out of all the amazing designers out there, why did you decide to work with us?
After seeing all the blogs that Gillian helped create I loved her style and way of thinking and I knew she would create something that would fit my personality and style.
What was your favourite part of the design process?
I loved the Youtube helpful tutorials of my blog and the fast communication between emails.
