This launch has really been pulling on my heartstrings lately. Introducing the brand new “The Barnwood Farmhouse” blog! Meet Kenzie & the Dew family. What a 2020 they had… One night in August, they were (thankfully) awoken, to find their beautiful farmhouse on fire. Since then they have been in a city planning nightmare, and demolition worksite trying to put their life back together. My heart completely breaks for them. Let's put a positive spin on it, shall we… Kenzie now has a new blog where she can share all about their farmhouse rebuild and design process. This woman is literally rising from the ashes and blooming! What amazing resilience!
Also, you need to meet Pete the alpaca. This stubborn & sassy boy is all over her Instagram and makes a few guest appearances on the website also! My favourite Pete appearance being the custom 404 page that we built in for her, adding a little personality to page errors.
Kenzie came to me looking to build a space to share her family story and her rebuild project. We put together a beautiful custom Showit blog and create a unique design just for her to help her tell her story. We used neutrals to match the tones of her Instagram feed as that is her biggest platform and added a lot of personal touches throughout. We even sketched out Pete the alpaca who makes a few appearances.
