Connie – Robbins by the Bay
I wish I was as brave as Connie from Robbins by the Bay. She has just launched her new blog so you can follow her journey as she rebuilds her New Jersey home. You heard me right. She is rebuilding her home. Completely gutting and redoing the interior, exterior, and adding extensions. Crazy right?! Not only that, but she is also sharing her favourite family recipes and some lifestyle tidbits as she goes.

Tell me a bit about your business and what brought you to start it in the first place?
I have always had a strong drive and passion in exterior and interior design work. I am also very hands on with residential renovations and building. Social media was not available when I began my journey in the design world. I am a very private person and never stepped out of my comfort zone to share what I do, but only for those who asked for my guidance…call it a hobby back then. There is such an enormous amount of talented bloggers out there and I felt the need to be part of this business. I believe what i am bringing to the blogging industry is unique and different and I want to share my experience and talents with others. The project I am doing is here at Robbins By The Bay is something I haven't come across within another blogger's website, so the timing is right and i am diving in. I am so excited to be able to have people follow what I am doing here on our property. The project itself is very large in scale but this is what is so special about the whole concept of my website. I will able to take everyone along through the beginning phases to the last design details, but I have also added much more to my business website to create interest and conversation.
What is one lesson that you wish you knew from the beginning?
I have been a “stay home mom” forever and love being available for my family. Being a mom and a wife is my first priority but I always felt there is so much more I can accomplish. I may be late coming into the blogging world but I feel like I am actually doing something for myself. You can not take back time, however starting something you love later in life is better than not doing so. Those are called regrets, so I am very happy my family is supporting me in this new venture.
What was your “AH-HA” moment that made you take the plunge into this business?
Robbins By The Bay is wake up call for me. This project is very close to my heart. The minute we stepped foot on the property was the minute I said “I want to share this project from start to finish with others”. I am saving this property from being demolished. Other's thought I was crazy LOL this old home and property deserves to be loved and this is why I am here. She will stand so proud along the coast here at Jersey Shore when all is completed!

Because you are the best! Not many designers listen to your needs and wants, but you go beyond this scope! Amazing guidance, talent, kindness and being available 24/7 for all those questions are just a few things I admire about your company! I am so happy I met you!
What was your favourite part of the design process?
I have many favorites! The best one is your willingness to let your client help with the layout. I felt very much part of the whole process when you designed my website and I appreciate it.
