“You had confidence in what I was asking and you were already running things through your brain about how you could make it better!” – Hope Linzee
Hope Linzee Photography is British Columbia based wedding and portrait photography business, ran by the sweet and talented Hope Linzee Brown! Hope and I instantly bonded over our love for Starbucks and our passion for our work. I honestly feel like if we lived in the same country, we would be best friends (internet friends will have to do for now, Canada, I'm coming for you!).
As soon as you see this girls work you will instantly be drawn in, her images are outstanding! Take a look for yourself and check out her new website. Make sure and have a look through her experience pages, I mean who wouldn't want to hire this girl!?
Tell me a bit about your business and what brought you to start it in the first place?
I feel in love with photography because it gave be a creative out let as well as allowed me to connect with people. Honestly I just love people and want them to feel loved. I love weddings and love and that day where everything is a dream and being able to document it for couples. I GET to help a bride and groom have an amazing wedding day as well as capture pictures they will FOREVER look back and love. I mean is that not the best thing in the world? I also LOVE the face pace and stress of making everything run seamlessly on a wedding it has me on my toes constantly.
What is one lesson that you wish you knew from the beginning?
I wish I could have found education earlier. It help me SO much. It helped me define who I was and what I wanted my business to be. I wish I would have invested big in the beginning instead of doing all the little things you think would make a big picture difference. I wish I could have found a mentor or invested in a business coach to help me in the early stages. I feel like I was just so excited and scatter brained because i had not business background and never really realized how much work it would be to get to where I wanted to be.
What was your “AH-HA” moment that made you take the plunge into this business?
I was after I shot my first wedding that I realized that I wanted to be primarily a wedding photographer. I love how prepared you had to be, I love how you HAD to have a good relationship with the clients, that I could play a role in someones happily ever after. I am person who loves a good challenge but I am also a person who loves making something better. Being a wedding photographer, there are so many things you can do to help and ease someones dream day and I got to be a part of that. BOOM I wanted all the weddings haha.
Out of all the amazing designers out there, why did you decide to work with us?
Honestly, that fact that sent me video and where just as stoked as I was. Also the fact that you had confidence in what I was asking and you were already running things through your brain about how you could make it better! I loved also that you clearly LOVED your job and I was stoked to be able to support you in that <3
What was your favourite part of the design process?
I loved getting back all your creative ideas (mood boards.) It was so much fun seeing how your brain works and how you interpreted what I was trying to communicate.
