Want to switch from Mailchimp to Flodesk? It's easy! Here's a 3-step guide on how to switch from Mailchimp to Flodesk.
Were you thinking of switching from MailChimp to Flodesk? We don't blame you! Apart from being so user-friendly, Flodesk offers a library of beautifully-composed email templates. What's more, creating all sorts of forms and setting up workflows is so simple with Flodesk! For an email marketing system this affordable, there are no limits to what Flodesk could do for your business.
When it comes to switching from MailChimp to Flodesk, the entire process is super easy. Here's a step-by-step guide to getting you started on Flodesk:
Step 1: Export Your Subscriber List from MailChimp
From your Audience in the MailChimp dashboard, select your subscribers and then click “Export Segment.” You'll land on the second page that says the system is exporting your subscribers' list. Once the download is complete, you will receive an email from MailChimp confirming that the subscriber list has been exported along with a link that leads to a downloadable .cvs file.
Step 2: Upload Your Subscriber List to Flodesk
On Flodesk, select “Audience” then click “Upload .cvs.” Select the .csv file you downloaded from MailChimp. Once the file has been uploaded, you need to map the data that's been listed in MailChimp to Flodesk (ex: match the first and last names of the subscribers or their email address). If you don't recognize certain data, ignore it.
Step 3: Import a Flodesk Segment
You want to group your subscribers after mapping the email data. The system will create a segment with a generic label (date of upload), but you can create your own segment with a customized label like “MailChimp Contacts [import date].” If you don't have a segment, you can go ahead and build a master list then simply combine both segments in the future.
And that's all there is to it! Easy, right? So go ahead and start switching to Flodesk and enjoy exploring its many features.
