Reading Time: 2 minutesAI, or rudimentary AGI, has become a mainstay in business life so far, with companies finding many different methods of integrating it into their main products and workflows. Some companies have even managed to define themselves in opposition to AI, helping to curb the narrative that every single enterprise is applying it no questions asked. For example, some excellent copywriting services are making their commitment to human-written content clear.
However, AI tools aren’t an ominous tool or a fad, they’re a new standard and their utility is solely defined by, well, how you use them. So, what are the best AI assistants on the market right now? How might they improve your general daily workflow? Moreover, are there any practices you should avoid?
ChatGPT from OpenAI is the one most people think of immediately because it’s proven itself as one of the most capable AI language models available. Thanks to its investment by Microsoft and the diligent researchers on the team, regular updates are impressive. ChatGPT's recent model GPT-4o has been praised for its relevance, as well as an impressive voice tool that allows you to converse with it in real time. Many users have found ChatGPT to be a helpful tool for brainstorming ideas, checking documents, and even coding. However, it's important to remember that ChatGPT can’t provide every perfect answer, as it still makes mistakes or can easily make up results.
Microsoft's CoPilot is another AI assistant now baked-in to Windows operating systems. But you might ask, what is Microsoft Copilot? How does it differentiate itself from ChatGPT? Well, it’s based on OpenAI’s product, but Integrated directly into Microsoft 365 applications with specific use cases. CoPilot can help its users with a wide range of tasks, and can even generate images quite comfortably. Better yet, CoPilot Pro allows for speedier and more accurate responses, while also being able to access the web in real time to search for answers.
Anthropic's Claude is a great AI assistant that stands out for its ability to parse large amounts of text and write with clarity. Anthropic is also committed to its ethical principles and has a more transparent approach. While it may not have the same level of functionality as some other AI tools, it’s become some thing of a favorite for writers looking to proofread their content or to serve the role of prose editor.
Google's Gemini AI assistant is a relative newbie, but it shows a afir amount of promise. Gemini is designed to work with Google's suite of software and cloud-based products, and its advanced features are available to those with a Google One subscription, though you have to sign up to the most extensive Gemini tier. Like CoPilot, it’s capable of providing instant web searches via Google, the most relevant and authoritative search engine on the market – giving it a leg up over CoPilot which relies on Microsoft’s own Bing search engine.
With these four tools, you’re sure to enhance your productivity or simply learn as you may have needed to once.
