Working with Melodee Forbes was simply fantastic! As a Texas-based interior designer, Melodee had a clear vision for what she wanted in a brand new website, and our team was more than happy to bring her vision to life. We asked Melodee a few questions:
Tell me a bit about your business and what brought you to start it in the first place?
I started selling custom window coverings for a big box retailer. I thought I might want to be an interior designer, but wasn’t sure and decided to put my baby toe in the water. I ended up loving selling window coverings, and being quite good at it. But I desired more, I wanted to go deeper with designing complete room transformations and not just dressing windows.
What is one lesson that you wish you knew from the beginning?
I’m still in the beginning, but probably would’ve applied for my trademark earlier to get that out of the way. Ask me in a year.
What was your “AH-HA” moment that made you take the plunge with a new site design?
I started transforming my own home through interior design and fell in love!
Out of all the amazing designers out there, why did you decide to work with us?
I purchased your Showit template back when I was still figuring out my direction (of whether I was going to be an influencer, and blogger exclusively) and had such a great experience with that template that I told myself if I ever hired a web designer it’d be you without a shadow of a doubt!
What was your favourite part of the design process?
How you responded at lightening speed, stood firm in why something should be the way you had designed, while offering me a solution to produce the same result I wanted, and throughout the process you were professionalism, personable, and excellent. You used my copy, photos, video, and made magic! I get compliments all the time about how beautiful my website is and you really put all the pieces together exquisitely using my existing branding.
