For those who know me, you'll know I can't get enough of dad jokes and puns. So when Ian King told me he wanted to open a butcher just up the road from our design studio called “Meet the Meat“, I was all over it.
Meet the Meat is a local butchers located very closely to us here in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is ran by a lovely husband and wife duo Ian and Sacha King. They locally source all of their produce and are very strong supporters of their local suppliers.
I have been working with Ian and Sacha from the very beginning of their project. We met up and discussed business names and styles, followed closely by a custom branding design creation for “Meet the Meat”.
A few months later this was followed up by a website design. They chose to go with a customisation of our WordPress theme “The Ava”. This was styled for their branding colours and fonts, and then we placed all of their images and text into it to make it their own.
Since the launch of their website we have also added an online store for them. Through this they can sell their weekly meal packs, and also set their delivery charge per postcode area – very fancy! This useful new function on their site is helping their business reach more customers by providing an easy way for them place food orders without having to physically visit their premises.
Ian and Sacha have been an absolute delight to work with, always being friendly and full of new ideas. I would also like to give a little shout out to “Roaring Stag Coffee”. They are stocked within “Meet the Meat” in Charleston and have been fuelling my work days for the past few months.
