Reading Time: 2 minutes
In August, my little sister Wendy got married. Two days after her wedding, her and her husband moved down to Cornwall in England as he is in the navy. My other sister Heather and I wanted to go visit her, but after a lot of searching online it would cost us £300 each for plane tickets. However, with a little bit of Googling, it would only cost us £70 each for a 4 day trip to Vienna. So we met her there instead.
Food
Traveling with my sister Heather is always so much fun because she is such a foodie (where she puts it all I have no idea)! Before we arrived in Vienna she already had a printed out map with all the food she wanted to eat on it, and I must say, it didn't disappoint.
Architecture
The architecture in Vienna was simply astounding. Every building was completely different. Not once did I see an ugly building. We got to see some outstanding things, like St. Stephen's Cathedral – including the massive long climb to the top of the spire. The Belvedere Art Gallery – with some amazing Gustav Klimt paintings including the kiss. The Holocaust Memorial – Made up of carved books. And so many more beautiful things.
Christmas
My sister Heather is also OBSESSED with Christmas – after this trip she took another one weeks later to France, Switzerland and Denmark, purely to explore their Christmas markets. It was impossible for her to walk past a Christmas tree without stopping to take a photograph. So we did everything Christmas related in Vienna we possibly could. We probably spend 70% of our time in Christmas markets.
The Big Wheel
This was probably my least favourite part of the trip, but I do look back on it fondly. We went on the Viennese Giant Ferris Wheel. I'm not too fond of heights, so put me in a wooden box that's 200 ft off the ground on a windy day, and I won't be very happy.

I just returned a couple of days ago from Vienna trip with the family. The snow was a great addition. Vienna turned all white almost overnight and the market was great. Such a great time of the year to visit.
