“I loved working with you and would recommend you 100 times over” – Rachel Van Kluyve
Over the past few weeks I have had the joy of working with Rachel Van Kluyve – Owner of Crate & Cottage – to convert the Showit Belleza template into a lifestyle blog for her where she can share all of her home decor tips, DIY hacks, and where her #SheMadeHerselfaHome hashtag can thrive!
Tell me a bit about your business and what brought you to start it in the first place?
I started Crate and Cottage when we built our dream home. I started sharing on social media and never knew people would take to my account like they have. It has given me many opportunities to share my love for design and decor. I'm currently writing my first book to be published next year and am just blessed to be able to share my passions for a job.
What is one lesson that you wish you knew from the beginning?
I wish I had asked for more help and learned a bit more on the front end. I feel like winging it was and still is some of my game plan.
What was your “AH-HA” moment that made you take the plunge into this business?
Once I realised people were noticing and following me I started to feel like maybe I did have something to offer. Gaining a confidence in yourself and being ok with feeling “good” in your field was my “AH-HA” moment.
Out of all the amazing designers out there, why did you decide to work with us?
I was drawn to Showit for its drop and click capability. I heard from another blogger it was a great company and then found you on the designers site. I've been nothing but impressed.
What was your favourite part of the design process?
Not having to do it myself HAHA. I loved working with you and would recommend you 100 times over.
